I agree with you 100% and I did try that but those resistors start to fry
with either "VU" or "VY" disconnected, however, the current is not enough to
blow the fuse. It does seem one of those yokes is the problem, especially
considering the customer's discription of what is was doing for the week
prior to it's current state. I will have to call the customer with the bad
news. Funny thing is the red/blue yokes for the VS405 (which have a
different part# of 330P116030) are still available from Mitsubishi.
