Been using a 150 VAC MOV ala SK something from Tritronics
and they do work fine ! I had a Sony come back to me with
the power supply blasted again and I added that across the
AC Line after the fuse and it did not come back. Power lines
were a wee bit aged where the set was. Yup , used all Sony
originals. I get the biggest disc type that there is. It
sure has saved me from recalls and I stuff that in every
SONY that has/had a power supply problem. HTH
