OK." Pin # 2", is ground for the  ST brand EPROM if I recall (ground Pin#2
with 5volt external hooked up). With this set up then should work. I know
you have a socket wired, but the ground to the EPROM pin has to be changed
with the different brands. I use a clip lead to change from Pin#4 to Pin#1
on the EPROM socket. Is your ground wire on Pin#2.
I had a EPROM that did not show but found it was shorted. If you pick up a
cheap Pony style programmer. ($40). You can read and write these EPROM's ,
no problem. I tried to use CC and program a EPROM from an unknown chassis
and could not do it. The CC program would not identify the EPROM so would
not perform required tests.
