Joe,
Inspect entire unit for bad solder connections.
Especially the grounds for the tuner, which can disconnect the signal
grounds from the rest of the unit. Check regulater ICs, and high wattage
resistors in power supply for bad connections. If a voltage is missing, it
will go into a protect mode. If one of the outputs is bad, it might have an
open ckt. protector in line to the output IC.

LLW

Pioneer VSX-D407 receiver

Turn unit on, display comes on for about 2 seconds with function readout
(AM, FM, AUX etc.) then display flashes POWER OFF several times then
shuts down. I haven't had much luck with receivers lately especially
pioneer. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on this before I decide
to get into.

Thanks "joe"
