Again I don't know how far i'll get into this receiver, but the last
move i made was to disconnect an 8 wire harness labelled as AWX7068
coming off of the board that has all the rca speaker jacks on it with a
few components IC751, IC752, IC801 + a few other x-sistors, filters etc.
That harness connects to the mother board and the connecter on mother
board is labelled CN403, the wiring is labelled as follows:

FL-(front left...?)
FL-(front left...?)
GNDAMP-(ground)
GNDAMP-(ground)
FR-(front right)
FR-(front right)
Cch-(???)
RY-A+B-(spkr A+B) )
RY-A-(spkr A)(this wire is coded with a red stripe)

When i disconnect this harness from the mother board, unit will stay on
but no audio. Does anyone have a print of the output circuitry that they
could Fax, Loan, Sell a copy of or anything to give me a clue. I'm
beginning to believe one if the PAC007A outputs is the culprit.

I know many of you compare readings between the 2 output circuits and
come to a conclusion that way, but i don't know which reading is correct
and which is wrong without a print.....

I already had this unit totally apart and went over every board with a
finer then a fine tooth comb visually to see what pc connects looked
like, and i'm not kidding when i say i literally couldn't even find a
questionable connection, i just soldered pc connects randomly as i
visually checked board and i did do all grounds even though none looked
even close to needing....

Any thoughts, ideas, conclusions, crystal balls, fortune tellers,
mystics, ANYTHING

Pioneer VSX-D407 receiver
Turn unit on, display comes on for about 2 seconds with function readout
(AM, FM, AUX etc.) then display flashes POWER OFF several times then
shuts down. I haven't had much luck with receivers lately especially
pioneer. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on this before I decide
to get into.
Thanks "joe"
