Network Engineer Mid Level for Rate Location: Springfield, IL Duration: 2 months Client: State of IL *Type of work to be performed* LAN/WAN administration [image: https://www.ibm.com/i/c.gif] *Project description* SRS desires the services of an IT professional to assist with the implementation of a new network infrastructure, and to provide appropriate mentoring in the new infrastructure for existing SRS staff. SRS Current infrastructure: SRS currently has a switched network using Enterasys switches, Net screen firewall, and Cisco routers that support 100 users in two locations (Springfield, IL and Chicago, IL). Target infrastructure: SRS desires the successful candidate to evaluate the current firewall configuration, design and implement a network using Cisco switches and new router(s). Deliverables include creation of the network design and associated documentation, installation and configuration of the network switches and any necessary routers. Candidate will transfer knowledge/mentor SRS staff in the above categories.
