Subject: Assesment Tester 6 months Location: Herndon, VA Highly prefer previous Fannie Mae experience Application Vulnerability Assessment A hands-on vulnerability assessment tester with practical experience in the field. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of assessment tools, vulnerabilities and impacts, and practical remediation methods. Specific responsibilities include: -Perform vulnerability assessments against Fannie Mae applications. -Provide expert guidance on mitigation strategies and effective system configurations to alleviate security issues. -Work closely with system owners to coordinate testing and clearly articulate issues and assessment findings. -Remain current on vulnerabilities and potential impacts. -Remain current on tools and techniques used to identify and potentially exploit vulnerabilities. -Contribute to the improvement of the vulnerability assessment process. The individual will interact with individuals across multiple business areas, Legal, Audit, and ESO. This position requires excellent partnering, leadership and consultative skills with both the business units and ESO teams. This individual must have excellent technical, communication, documentation, and presentation skills. Required Experience: -Five or more years of Risk Assessment or Information Security work experience. -Three or more years work experience directly related to the area of vulnerability assessments. -Minimum of one year consultative experience working with external customers. -Good people skills: Listening, Analytical, Interpersonal, Communication, Presentation, Research, Organizational -Operational knowledge of tools necessary for performing vulnerability assessments.
