JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the Web Integration Team, Quality Assurance and Customer
Relationship Management Group, the successful candidate will be
responsible for providing Technical Writing, Software Testing and
Quality Assurance Support for the Intranet, Extranet and Internet Web
Applications to ensure quality standards. This role may also require
development of Surveys. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working
on multiple projects, dealing with different levels of stakeholders, and
will be familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle artifacts,
Software Testing, Planning and coordination, based on industry best
practices and standards (e.g., ITIL, SDLC, Six Sigma, CMMI) within the
scope of the following two primary functions. 
  
FUNCTIONS: 
  
Software Documentation, Testing & Quality Assurance (Primary Role) 
  
The selected candidate is expected to apply the latest best practices of
software quality and quality metrics and apply structure and expertise
to continually reduce the test costs and risks associated with changes,
and work with multiple groups across the organization, both technical
and functional, for ensuring quality through all stages of the software
development and change management life cycles.  The primary
responsibility and objective, involved with change management is to
identify test requirements and risks, ensure the change request
timeliness, accuracy, quality, completion, and compliance with change
management policies and procedures. 
  
Specific Roles and Responsibilities 
  

*       Develop written information about the client's Intranet,
Extranet and Public web application systems that aid in their
development, use, and support. Outputs will include a range of documents
to be read by both technical and non-technical personnel across all
departments. 

  

*       Liaise with project stakeholders to define and identify business
procedures, establish and deliver documentation needs for software
applications, and analyze IT project requirements to determine types of
documents needed 

  

*       Collaborate with project managers and developers to collect and
interpret technical information. Also liaise with the graphics
department to plan the layout, graphical elements and document
formatting. Ensure that final documents are usable, of high quality, and
in compliance with SDLC practices 

  

*       Plan, design, research, write, and edit a range of documents,
including user guides and manuals, technical specifications, training
materials, user policies, and proposals, for both print and online
media. Edit documentation of other IT staff to create unified and
consistent documents. Establish, communicate and maintain documentation
standards, and provide training where required. Maintain the currency
and accuracy of all documentation. 
*       Provide Software Testing of Intranet, Extranet and *.ORG
applications to support Security Patches, Hot Fixes, Disaster Recovery,
High-Availability, and other upgrade/integration initiatives that are
applied 
*       Survey Development using CVENT Online Survey Tool. 
*       Use of Mercury Quality Center, Quick Test Professional and Load
Runner to test software application requirements, coordinate, schedule
and carry out testing activities, review and design testing process,
procedures, templates, and metrics; development and maintenance of test
suite libraries; creation of well defined, reusable test scenarios for
new and existing applications and enhancements per test cycle, execute
tests, track, document, and proactively communicate the results of the
testing exercise.  Test suites will be required for the Intranet,
Extranet and *.ORG Applications. 
*       Recommend and implement QA tools, workflow, and process
improvements consistent with customer demand, existing resources, and
enterprise strategy. Display leadership in automating QA processes and
improving QA productivity. 
*       Develop metrics and implement measurements to quantify the
effectiveness of QA processes, analyze collected data to determine cause
and effect, recommend process improvements and establish ongoing
reporting process. 


Tier 2 Support (Secondary Role) 
  
This role also requires extensive liaison and trouble-shooting with end
users across the organization, Application Developers, Service
Management staff, Engineers, Network Administrators, and business users
to resolve incidents that have been escalated to the Web Integration
Team.  
  
Specific Roles and Responsibilities 

*       Respond to and resolve Tier 2 Incidents that are escalated to
the Web Integration Team and providing customer technical support needs.

*       Provide (backup) Customer Support to inquiries that may be
received in the Client Webmaster Support Email Account 
*       Conducting analysis and trouble-shooting over the phone and
occasionally in-person for end-users. Remain knowledgeable and stay
current of service offerings, current industry products and technology 


Skill Set Description: 

*       Team player and ability to work effectively in a diverse
environment; excellent oral and written communications, writing and
interpersonal skills and be able to work well under pressure and time
constraints 
*       Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on
rapport-building, listening, interviewing and collaboration skills.
Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as
required and to absorb and retain information quickly 
*       Working knowledge of Mercury Quality Center, Quick Test
Professional, and Load Runner 
*       Understanding of software development life-cycle processes
(SDLC) quality assurance life-cycle processes (QALC), and Quality Audit
practices, including test methodologies, automation scripting,
execution, and analysis. 
*       May be requested to work some evenings and weekends in support
of software release and verification testing -- some of these tests may
be performed remotely. 
*       Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Application Center Test
and/or Mercury suite (Quick Test Professional, Quality Center), and
Microsoft Office productivity suite. Familiarity with Team Foundation
Server/Team System and Visual Studio .NET is a plus. 
*       Formal knowledge of Business and Technical Requirements Analysis

*       Education: Bachelor's Degree or above
