Position Title: Java/Cobol Solutions Architect
with "Claims" Experience
Work Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 2+ Months
This position is looking to start on Monday so its mission critical. I
need someone out of healthcare that's worked on a claims system.
Position Description:
Responsible for deployment of architectural aspects including hardware,
software, security, messaging, work flow, interoperability, flexibility,
reliability, scalability and architectural structure and capability
within the organization as architected in conjunction with the
Enterprise Architect(s); deploy to the organization the architecture
practices, work with application teams and other technology project
teams and help develop and deploy architectural design and
identification of enterprise implications of the designs; define and
roll out architectural principles, patterns, guidelines and standards;
communicate basic components, help identify impacts and work to resolve
conflicts with application teams, business units and other architects;
work to bridge the gap from current state of the architecture to the
future state as defined by architecture; and be a deep knowledge
specialist in a particular area such as infrastructure, process or data
OR will play the role of solution architect.
This individual will
-Assist in driving out and interpreting Business & IT requirements for
the Future State Architecture of the Batch Input System (BIS) program
-Assist in creation and review of the artifacts that express the
architecture and document the approach to the solution
-Assist in identifying risks to the solution and approach improvements
-Communicate effectively with peer architects, business representatives,
subject matter experts, and other members of the broader team
-Provide hands on solution architecture as part of the team.
Skills Required:
Must be -Self Starter and Self Directing
o Can follow a project plan and work to completion without an abundance
of supervision -Very Analytical
o Analyze Business Processes and Requirements and identify architectural
significance
o Analyze current state legacy systems and identify architectural
significance and improvements -Quickly able to identify Solution Options
and document the pros and cons of each option
-Expert in working with Business Analyst and IT Analyst in determining
and interpreting requirements as it pertains to the architecture
-Ideally would have knowledge and\or experience with Claim Adjudication
processes
-Strong experience with Future State Architecture and Architecture
Planning
-Strong J2EE architecture and design -Strong knowledge of
COBOL/CICS/VSAM required for this FTE -Strong integration architecture
skills with both J2EE and non-J2EE platforms (including CICS)
-Basic understanding of modern technologies and patterns and when it is
appropriate to use them
