The Database Architect/ Administrator will work as part of the Field Services Development team to support the update and maintenance of database structures related to mobile Smartphone applications used by the Field. Additionally, the Architect / Administrator will help drive the development of new functionality and software capabilities for the Field Sales organization by supporting their design, development, testing, and implementation. Work with business to translate user requirements into detailed system requirement specifications. Establish a close relationship with others in the IT workgroup to ensure that the business needs are understood and are being met / planned for appropriately. Act as a key participant and contributor in architecture and design sessions. Create technical design and architecture documents Present proposed design solutions to users and management in a timely, comprehensive, and understandable manner. Participate in troubleshooting initiatives for issues that arise. KNOWLEDGE / EDUCATION: Bachelor Degree in computer science, business or related field required. JOB EXPERIENCE: 5-8 years in Information Technology. Proven technical skills using any of the following technologies ¡V Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Import/ Export, SQL Loader, Tivoli Procedures/Triggers/Functions/Packages Experience with complex query development using SQL. Data Analysis Experience Participation in full project lifecycle implementations. SKILLS / COMPETENCIES: Must possess strong database and analytical skills. Proficiency in structured query language and PL/SQL. Database development experience with open database connectivity. Working knowledge of database maintenance tools.
