Job Title: Our client has immediate openings for a Symantec Netbackup Engineer in Phoenix. 3 month+ contract Job Description: Five or more years experience with NBU running on Sun Solaris and tape management. . Administration of NBU 6.X including SQL and Oracle RMAN DB backup and restore . A BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or 4 additional years of relevant experience is required. . 8+ years analysis, design, and development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the following technology areas: data center backups, UNIX administration, network, database, Microcomputers, client server, internet, scripting, intranet . Requires ability to plan, organize and achieve coordinated objectives. . Excellent time management skills are required . Demonstrated ability to adjust focus to meet changing priorities and shifting customer needs . Ability to manage internal and external relationships. . Ability to influence vendors on product/service direction and resolve routine business issues. . Accountable for ensuring effective utilization of available resources and creating a cooperative, team atmosphere in small groups. . Envisions future requirements and integrates them into the development of deliverables. . Good interpersonal skills . Good command of spoken and written English . Helps set development standards and evaluates specific products. . Able to commit I.T. to expenditures within the bounds of an approved project and with appropriate review/approval in carrying out a broad range of duties . Makes decisions and influences I.T. management regarding systems issues affecting activities and objectives of I.T. and business functions. .
