The implementation will be based on a scalable, open architecture platform that the Interest Rate Products (IRP) technology recently developed. The team works within a distributed development model to enhance the platform to suit EM needs while leveraging enhancements made by the IRP IT team. The team has a mandate to deliver the solution by the end of this year. The candidate will work in a fast paced environment focused on delivery and innovation. The qualified candidate is a self-starter, eager to learn, possessing a proven track record of delivering enterprise solutions in teams under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate is able to contribute technology expertise, solid software engineering skills and knowledge of fixed income markets and applications. The system will support products and markets spanning Latin America, Eastern Europe and Asia. For that reason, system design emphasizes extensibility and the use of generic components in order to support the rapid integration of new trade types and valuation models. The prime objective of the project is the creation of a high performance, comprehensive, end-of-day, real-time risk analysis, position and P&L management system that facilitates strategic trading and risk management. The system operates on an Oracle 10G database, C# windows application layer, and a workflow-middleware that use EMS for asynchronous communication among tasks. The successful candidate will work with all of these technologies to implement solutions. The role involves analyzing existing risk implementations (often spreadsheets), interacting with other teams in the bank (Risk Measurement and Management, Product Control, Global Modeling and Analytics, etc), design and specification work in addition to software development. The candidate will be responsible for the development of the software and infrastructure and will work with the peer development teams in IRP IT to design, enhance, and implement the various components of the system. Attributes needed to perform successfully in the project include attention to detail, a willingness to take ownership of issues, enthusiasm, enterprise application development experience using EMS and C#, experience writing efficient enterprise-ready code, and knowledge of fixed income markets and products. This is a senior development role and as such the candidate will be required to work without direct supervision while still adhering to agreed upon project specifications and timelines. The candidate is expected to participate in functional and design meetings and reviews.
