Position: Linux/Oracle Database Performance Consultant Location: Greensboro, NC Duration: 6 Months Rate: DOE Visa: EAD,GC,Citizen Description: Need a highly skilled, experienced Linux and Oracle DB performance consultant to help with performance turning and capacity planning activities in their environment. Roles and Responsibilities: · Meet with customers to review details on tasks to be completed and the type of data elements and supporting documentation required to perform the services · Monitor queries to identify slow or high utilization queries · Performance analysis · Review disk and file layout structure · Review Oracle configurations · Optimize network performance on the Oracle database server · System performance tuning recommendations · Oracle Database performance tuning recommendations · Performance evaluation of existing environment · Capacity planning recommendation activities · Document recommendations and review with Customer. The following activities are Out of Scope (another wards will NOT be their responsibilities) · Application transaction performance analysis. · Environments with Oracle RAC or virtualization. · Implementation of recommendations. · Services beyond what is outlined in scope above.
