We are looking for* **Test Engineer **in **San Diego,CA **for **1 + year **contract * This is a Test Engineer position with the following responsibilities:
* *Test development, execution*, troubleshooting and problem resolution on embedded Brew/Windows Mobile/Linux/Standalone CoreBSP platforms * Focus on *testing drivers* for hardware blocks such as USB controller, SD/MMC controller, Touch screen controller, Clock Regime, DMA engines and I2C/SPI controllers * Test the interactions between drivers and with CDMA/UMTS Modem and Multimedia applications * *Profile and optimize CPU usage, performance and power consumption of the various SW drivers ** Interact in a team environment with developers, system engineers and testers * Develop test automation in *C/Perl *Flexibility in work assignments and ability to multi-task are crucial. *Skills/Experience* Two to five years of work experience testing embedded software, preferably device drivers Good understanding of test methodology and test processes, including requirements collection, test plan development and execution Experience in developing test automation with strong programming skills (in Perl/TCL and C) Lab and hands-on debugging skills; ability to do initial debug and isolate failures Experience in using wireless test equipment (1x, EVDO, UMTS test equipment) is preferred Experience in testing Multimedia applications (Browser, Camera/Camcorder, Media Player) is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required Ability to time-share and prioritize between multiple tasks is crucial *Additional Skills* Good understanding of computer architecture and real-time operating systems is desired Familiarity with Flash Devices, USB and other peripherals is desired Good understanding of the software development cycle is desired Knowledge and experience in BREW, Window Mobile, Linux, Symbian is a plus ARM experience is a plus Exposure to pre-silicon hardware simulators and emulators is a plus Assembly language experience is a plus Knowledge and experience in Bluetooth, GPS, Graphics and WLAN is a plus *Education Requirements* Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering *If you are interested in the above opening please respond with your word resume and provide us the following details.* · Full Name: · Rate Expectation: · Citizenship / Visa Status : · Availability for Interview : · Contact Number (s) : · Email id : · Start Date : · Current City and State: -- Thanks & Regards Kevin Maripax Solutions | [email protected] www.Maripax.com
