Job Position: SQL Server Developer with Telecom exp Location: Bellevue, WA Duration: Long Term I need local candidates or candidate from around of WA for the following position. SQL Developer with ETL, Crystal Reports, and/or Business Objects and Recent Telecom experience will be a Key for this role. Job Description: The position will be responsible for the design and development of a database or data mart solution that integrates extracts from multiple locations and provides a reporting and analytical platform. Work will include: * Identification and standardization of existing data source extracts. * Data modeling - Based on reporting requirements and existing data sources, developing a data model for analysis and reporting. * Database development - implementation of the defined data model within a Microsoft SQL Server environment. * Data integration and definition of data loads - using standard in-house ETL tools, develop ETL process to import, integrate, and transform data based on existing requirements and reporting. * Planning data load schedule - work with Client support teams to plan and implement regular loads into the data mart from defined extracts. * Report development - Reproduce existing Excel based reports using new data mart solution. Report can be developed in Excel, as before, or through a Business Objects based solution. * Business Objects Universe - design and develop a Universe for Business Objects to allow ad-hoc reporting against the data mart solution. Minimum Required Skills: This role is responsible for: * Identifying data sources and other sources of information for Service delivery consumption * Making recommendation on accessing information and data * Sourcing data into analytical data marts * Designing and developing analytical data marts * Analyze existing information in the source location or in conjunction with analytical information based on EIT governance executive needs Skills required include: * Data modeling: third normal form and star schema. * Database development experience using Microsoft Transact SQL. * Knowledge of ETL tools, especially in conjunction with Microsoft SQL Server. * Experience designing data extraction solutions including flat-files, direct queries, and service requests. * Experience working with third-parties on behalf of the company to implement data extraction solutions. * Experience developing reports using Microsoft Excel, Crystal Reports, and/or Business Objects. * Experience developing Business Objects universes.
