Summary
TSYS Loyalty has an immediate opportunity for a UI developer with experience
in design, layout and development of web based user interfaces to support
our suite of financial services products. The UI developer will work
directly with business and technical teams to translate business
requirements and marketing materials into functional website templates.
Candidates must possess strong visual acuity, to perfect style and
alignment, and be proficient with common web UI design tools/techniques.
Candidates must also be able to recommend and present multiple design
prototypes that exhibit a proper balance between design creativity and best
practices for usability. Experience creating optimized web graphics,
stylesheets, website navigation models and cross-browser compatible web
templates is a must. Candidates must also possess experience with current
web design techniques that incorporate rich client controls (based on CSS
and javascript) to enhance user experience. Although not a requirement,
candidates with experience designing financial services based products for
the web, or customer self service portals will receive strong consideration.
Job Requirements/Responsibilities
Work within the team to translate marketing, functional and
technical requirements into functional demos and technical website templates
that can be provided to the development team to incorporate dynamic
application logic.
Develop and maintain standardized stylesheets for each product.
Must be experienced in creating well structured, table-less XHTML/CSS
stylesheets and have a deep understanding of CSS best practices.
Candidates must be able to visually detect subtle
inconsistencies in alignment, color, content styles and graphics to ensure
that sites maintain a consistent and professional appearance.
Candidates must proactively work with technical and business
teams to review current and new site designs and offer suggestions for
improvement.
Create and maintain web-optimized images, stylesheets,
javascript and XHTML
Candidates must be experienced in the use of Adobe creative
suite design tools, as well as other common web design tools
Candidates must exhibit the ability to create web pages that
follow best practices in terms of layout and syntax and that meet W3C
standards for usability. In addition, web assets must be cross-browser
compatible.
Candidate must exhibit excellent written and verbal
communication. Ability to discuss business requirements and articulate
design and UI options is an absolute necessity. In addition, candidates
must be able to provide excellent documentation that can be presented to
clients and internal team members. Must also be able to suggest website
verbiage and incorporate examples within designs.
