Java Developer – 8 month contract Lacation: St. Louis W2 pay rate is $36-$37.00 per hour Corp to Corp pay rate is $45.00 per hour Our client is seeking a Java developer to join their US Seed & Traits IT team for an upcoming project. Successful candidate will work with the IT team to develop and maintain customer facing web applications for US Seed & Traits business on the enterprise Java platform. The individual will work as part of an agile team involving but not limited to a Project Manager, Developers, Technical Leads and Business Analysts to ensure the timely delivery of applications. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): GUI design, application code development, XML schema development, generate/parse XML, execution of unit and acceptance testing, utilization of the automated test infrastructure for the project and identification of application code and services for reuse. Qualifications The candidate must possess the following technical experience: • Minimum 6 years of experience in software development utilizing Enterprise Java technologies. • Experience with Web Services & demonstrated experience in specific technologies including EJB, JMS, Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, SOAP, XML-RPC and XML. • Experience working with Weblogic Application Server. • In-depth knowledge of the Application Development Lifecycle. • Solid knowledge of design patterns. • At least four years of experience utilizing Oracle/SQL. • Sound knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design techniques. Desired skills: • Experience with Test First Development Methodology. • Experience with Agile development methodologies. • Experience with Maven. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
