*Role : **Business Analyst* *Exp Level: 5-7 years* *Duration : 2/22/2010 - 8/23/2010* *Location : Iselin, NJ* *PLEASE SEND ME LOCAL RESUME S* Description: The BI Analyst’s role is to examine and evaluate information requirements for various business units across the organization, investigate information issues and reporting problems, and assist in support of various production processes supported by the Sirius XM Business Intelligence Team. • This individual will use proven knowledge of specialized reporting tools, SQL, and database techniques to perform data analysis and develop reporting structures as required. • Assignments may involve unstructured investigation and analysis to respond to a business information need. • The BI Analyst is also responsible for proactively generating and compiling information in reports, spreadsheets, or files based on his or her findings, complete with recommended improvements to – or new requirements for – business processes, operational procedures, and their corresponding reporting structures • Ability to document and present results appropriately for senior/executive management. *Primary Skills*: LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!!!! • Strong communication skills and business savvy are essential. • Technical data analysis and reporting skills are crucial, including advanced knowledge/skills in the use of SQL in SQL Server and Teradata environments, advanced skills in MS Excel and Access, and intermediate knowledge of Cognos 8.4 report development. • 5-7 years work related experience required • Must have the ability to interpret logical and physical database diagrams.
