*Qualifications:* Seeking a hands-on Spatial Data Engineer (SDE), whose primary role will be to provide project support toward the implementation of ESRI’s Geographical Information System (GIS) and Mapping software products. 3+ years of SDE experience is required. Strong knowledge of ESRI's GIS Advanced Spatial Data software products (arcGIS Server, arcSDE Technology) is also required. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in structured query language (SQL) and spatial performance. Some Oracle DBA experience in a UNIX environment is strongly preferred. This candidate will be expected to work well in a high-performing project team environment as we roll out one of the nation's largest GIS system. *Responsibilities:* Primary Responsibilities: ArcSDE • Managing and Maintaining ESRI Spatial Data • Support and understanding of ESRI versioning – compression and reconciliation • Managing ESRI replication • Understanding of geometrical networks, relationship classes, spatial indexes • Proficiency in ArcSDE configuration and upgrades • Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issues. The daily responsibilities will include database and ArcSDE administration involving spatial and geospatial capabilities, as well as application development support.
