Other Comments:

PM must have experience working with IT and Financial Operations to
replatform legacy applications such as Adabas, Natural to Java and Oracle
supported technologies. Must have knowledge in full SDLC project execution.

Job Purpose/ Description:

• Responsible for systems analysts and application development activities
through direct and indirect staff.
• Directs development teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction,
future planning, and standard development practices.
• Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project objectives are met in a
timely manner.
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of principals, theories, practices, and
techniques for managing activities related to planning, managing and
implementing systems analysis and applications development projects.
• Manages multiple large, complex projects with greater impact on the
enterprise.
• Excels at delivering projects on time and within budget, meeting high
quality standards and customer expectations.
• Excels at analyzing business unit technology needs, dissecting the most
complex problems and suggesting process oriented solutions.
• Serves as SME in all aspects of project management methodology and tools,
as well as resource management practices and change management techniques.
• Excellent ability to track and monitor project execution, regularly
updating project plans and status reports.
• Actively identifies any issues or risks associated with a project,
escalating them and possibly implementing mitigation strategies for risk
prevention and timely resolution.
• Leads interdepartmental or interdivisional operational project
initiatives.
• Serves as initial point of escalation for all project management issues.
• Assists senior level management in coordinating business area activities
and balancing workload.
• Manages and/or mentors project management staff.
• May develop and implement new proposals on cutting-edge process
improvements and technology initiatives.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Excels at implementing Project Management methodologies and tools,
resource management practices, and change management techniques.
• Excellent grasp of human resource management techniques.
• Excellent communication, analytical, negotiation, and troubleshooting
skills.
• Coordinates large numbers of staff to manage multiple large, complex
projects with greater impact on the enterprise.
• Often serves as back-up for senior management.
• May have involvement with the business during its strategic planning and
budget cycles to leverage knowledge and anticipate technology / process
transformation potential from a customer perspective.

Required education/experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science,
Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field.
• Project Management Certification preferred.
• 8 plus years of IT work experience and project management.
• Viewed as thought leader regarding project management methodology and
tools, as well as resource management practices and change management
techniques.
• Excellent understanding of IT and its alignment with business processes.
• Excellent understanding of SDLC.
• Manages multiple projects or workstreams of the highest complexity.
• Excellent human resource management skills.
