LoadRunner/Performance Center - 2+ full time years of experience testing web
applications
QTP - 2+ full time years of experience
Programming languages (Java, COBOL/DB@, Visual BASIC/.NET) - 3 full time
years of experience
UNIX - 3+ full time years of experience
Performance Analyst who will migrate tests from WebLoad to Performance
Center, execute tests, and gather test results. The Contractor will work
partly with a senior consultant and will educate the Performance Engineering
team on how best to implement performance tests using Performance Center.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
Provides input into performance test plans and reviews them prior to
implementing tests to ensure they will exercise components of the system
sufficiently.
Implements and executes performance tests according to given
requirements. Generates reports to document the results of the test.
Monitors test execution to ensure the test exercised all components
of the application.
Performs mid-level analysis of the test results and determines if
each component (stored procedures, servlets, JSP, transaction programs,
etc.) meets standards for performance and efficiency.
Consults with developers and Tech Ops to resolve performance
defects. Recommends changes to development teams and Tech Ops teams to
improve performance and efficiency of systems.
Utilizes platform specific tools to measure performance in both real
time and post test analysis modes.
Thoroughly understands and complies with IT policies and procedures,
especially those for quality and productivity standards that enable the team
to meet established client service levels.
Thoroughly understands and complies with information security
policies and procedures, and verifies deliverables meet Information security
requirements.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as
assigned.
*Technical Skills:*
Demonstrated strong analysis and problem solving skills.
Mid-level knowledge of the following practices and concepts: full
product life cycle, architecture design, performance and stress testing,
technical standards and deliverables, migration and integration, production
acceptance process.
Mid-level knowledge of Java, COBOL/DB2, or Visual BASIC/.NET.
Mid-level knowledge of multiple IT platforms: Netcentric,
Client/server, Microsoft Windows 2000, OS/390, UNIX.
Mid-level knowledge of current versions of the following products:
Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office.
Mid-level knowledge of performance monitoring and analysis tools.
Experience with LoadRunner or Performance Center required. Experience with
WebLoad and QTP a plus.
Strong written and oral communication skills, preferred
*Other Competencies:*
Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent
combination of training and experience.
Three years experience in technical specialty.
