Required an experienced “SAP-Oracle” DBA for an ~8 month contract in
preparation for an August “go-live”.  This DBA will be a member of our
“SAP-Oracle” team that interfaces with SAP Basis, enterprise Oracle team,
UNIX (AIX), and security teams.  [The SAP application suite includes
ECC-CWM, SLD, PI, SCM, APO LiveCache-MaxDB, SRM,TM, EP, GRC-GTS, GRC-AC,
MDM, BI ABAP/Java, eSourcing, BOBJ, Sabrix.]  Responsibilities include:



•          Administration, support, troubleshooting of all SAP-Oracle
database components

•          Installation, upgrade, patching of SAP-Oracle databases

•          Performance tuning of SAP Oracle databases (instance and memory
settings as well as physical layout at the file system level)

•          Design and implementation of SAP Systems in close partnership
with the SAP-Basis and infrastructure hosting (all Oracle is hosted on AIX
LPARs)

Required Skills:

•          5-7 years experience as Database Administrator in a large SAP
shop using Oracle.

•          SAP BR*Tools for Oracle

•          SAP-Oracle performance tuning

•          SAP-Oracle installs, upgrades, patching

•          SAP-Oracle proactive monitoring including SAP DBA Cockpit

•          Oracle DBA skills - Oracle 9 required; 10g preferred

•          Oracle backup and recovery using RMAN

•          Oracle database administration in a UNIX environment

•          Excellent communication skills encompassing inter-personal
communications, persuasion and influencing skills, communications in
business terminology.

•          Ability to easily adapt in an ever changing environment.



Preferred Skills:

•          10 years relevant technical experience

•          SAP Basis administration

•          Oracle Data Guard set-up, failover, resynchronization

•          Oracle Grid Control

•          Oracle database design

•          Oracle utilities like export/import for complicated database
refreshes.

•          AIX hosting environment (i.e. LPARs on IBM P6-595 frames)

•          EMC SAN environment

•          UNIX korn shell scripting for monitoring Oracle

•          BMC Remedy incident and change management
