Need: Visual Basic/Oracle Forms/Reports Programmer/Analyst
3+ month contract opening
Location: Wayne, PA,
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE STRONG EXPERIENCE WITH VB 6.0, ORACLE FORMS, ORACLE
REPORTS, AND PL/SQL.
Our client is looking for a solid Oracle Forms Programmer who is a very good
communicator and can take control of status reporting as well as liaise
between the business and IT.
**The person to fill this opening must have excellent oral and written
skills.**
Job Description:
The Programmer/Analyst role will be focused on providing implementation
support as directed by the client in the following areas:
Design, code and test applications using Oracle Forms and Reports (version
10g) Prepare systems support status reports Primary Liasion between
technical and business staff Work with other System Analysts in various
activities in the typical SDLC for different projects Prepare use cases and
convert system use cases into system design and physical database Prepare
and review technical documentation and reports Support the planning and
execution of testing activities
Job Requirements:
The Programmer / Analyst on this team is an individual who can function
independently and be a self-starter. He/she will need to be able to perform
requirements gathering, design, development and testing.
The ideal Candidate will demonstrate the following Required Skills:
3+ years experience using Oracle products, with solid experience in Oracle
Forms and Report coding including install, configuration changes, interfaces
to other enterprise apps, etc.
5+ years of IT experience in software design and development
Understanding in all stages of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and
capability in understanding complex requirements Knowledge with Unified
Model Language (UML) Migration of an Oracle Forms Application from an an
AS400 is preferred Familiarity with Application Support Processes Experience
working as a Technical/Team Leader Preferred Skills:
Experience coding in VB6
Experience using Business Objects
Aptitude:
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills Team player with commitment to
results Leadership skills Good communication skills
Certification Preference:
Oracle Forms Developer OCP
Oracle 10g DBA (OCA, OCP or OCM level)
Oracle Database: SQL Certified Expert
