Required for developing new risk and *Profit &Loss* *functionalities* for cash equities. In-depth expertise in the core Java platform, good understanding of software delivery processes, and knowledge of financial markets required. Technical and business skills below- Technical Skills: • Required: • Proficiency in application development and knowledge of core Java technologies, including o JDBC, Java 5 o Java collections and data structures o Performance tuning Java-based applications, multithreading o Message processing/streaming • • Optional: • End-to-end experience in software development lifecycle and familiarity with agile methodologies • Experience in writing Shell/Perl scripts and setting up batches for generating feed files. • Configuration management and release management experience Business Skills: • Required: • Exposure to cash equities business, especially the middle office process such as risk management, position management, and PnL computations • Optional: Exposure to front office business processes and good understanding of F2B flow of equities trades (for instance – integrating with various market data sources and pricing databases, basic understanding of the concepts of valuation and risk management, arrangement and execution of EOD batch processes etc.) Project Context Objective: We are looking for Core Java resources to support the development of new PnL and risk functionalities.
