The Planning & Projects group within Business Technology Solutions (BTS) is responsible for providing planning, project, work and resource management processes that will enable and govern overall prioritization of projects and operational activities across the BTS organization. The BTS Program Planner will provide program and project planning, scheduling, risk, issue and change management and project management mentoring services as a part of the BTS Planning & Projects team. The position will work with the BTS Project Managers and Portfolio Teams to develop and maintain detailed plans and an integrated master schedule for programs such as the Smart Grid Program (infrastructure design, new SAP module implementation, new meter testing and roll-out to customers), the SAP enablement projects, other IT projects and SAP annual support work. The Program Planner will create, update, analyze and report status on the plans using the CA Clarity and Open Workbench scheduling tools, partner with Program and Project Managers to ensure integration across the plans and perform other Project Management related activities. Responsibilities include: - developing comprehensive schedules which reflect the appropriate time phased completion of tasks and the application of required resources - developing and maintaining master integrated program plans and milestones within the constraints of scope, schedule, cost and quality - tracking and analyzing program performance variances and identifying conflicts in resource requirements, schedules and approaches - reporting status to management and project teams - leading/facilitating the Risk, Issues, and Change Management processes and planning and lessons learned meetings - mentoring teams on the use of Clarity, Open Workbench, and CMS Energy's Project Management Methodology and System Development Life Cycle processes, and SAP's ASAP methodology - developing presentations - identifying process improvement opportunities Required: - IT Project Management , planning, scheduling and integration skills on LARGE, COMPLEX PROJECTS REQUIRING ALIGNMENT ACROSS MULTIPLE PROJECT TEAMS - SOME SAP PROJECT MANAGEMENT OR PLANNING EXPERIENCE - Scheduling expertise using a computer scheduling tool, PREFERABLY Clarity / Open Workbench - System Development Life Cycle Methodology skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) - Some experience with IT infrastructures and/or business applications development or suppport - Ability to plan multiple projects simultaneously - Ability to deal with situations involving ambiguity and to adapt to rapidly changing environments - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Team facilitation skills Preferred: - Scheduling expertise using Open Workbench - Resource and Project Management expertise using CA's Clarity toolset - Knowledge of the ASAP Methodology - Lotus Notes - PMBOK (PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge) - SAP Knowledge - PMP Certification Preferred Experience Required: - 10 or more years IT related experience - 5 or more years in IT related project management, planning and scheduling - Large, complex project scheduling/planning/management across multiple project teams - Some SAP Project experience - If no utility experience, then experience at multiple types of companies (i.e. not all automotive) BS Management Information Systems/Computer Science or similar degree Thanks & Regards Priya HR Cordinator Direct :408-850-0523 Fax: 866-503-9867 Mail id : [email protected] Maripax Solutions | www.Maripax.com <http://www.maripax.com/> Note: If you are not interested in receiving our e-mails, please reply with "REMOVE" in subject.
