Position: My SQL DBA Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 3-6 months Rate: $35-40/hr Required Experience/Knowledge: Must of several years of MySQL experience that includes working with the following - Databases that are larger than 100GB - Replication - Clustering - Backups - Log shipping - Performance monitoring and tuning Experience in a 24/7 production environment MySQL, VMWare, Redhat Overall development/technical support experience Production monitoring and metrics Experience with monitoring tools UNIX/Linux operating systems Experience in system monitoring Experience in creating automation tools Skills Strong Troubleshooting skills in a MySQL environment Strong understanding of web technologies Excellent documentation skills Extensive scripting experience Linux/Unix command line experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong skills creating and maintaining Standard Operational Procedures. Well developed written and verbal communication skills. A team player. Will need to work closely with other team members.
