I'm pleased to report that TT3 has built its first web site.

In true eating-your-own-dog-food style, the first web site that
it built was its own.

   http://tt3.template-toolkit.org/

Please be aware that TT3 is pre-alpha code. That means:

* Nothing is guaranteed to work
* Nothing that works today is guaranteed to work tomorrow
* Everything is subject to change
* The code is not optimised in any way
* There are plenty of bugs
* There are lots of missing features
* It is not tuesday
* It is not some time shortly after lunch

Well, OK, it actually *is* some time shortly after lunch where I am,
but it's not tuesday and I haven't had any lunch yet. So don't get
too excited.

At this point in time TT3 is only for the brave or foolhardy. Using it
requires you to get your hands dirty and poke around in the code. It
may be an unpleasant experience. You may want to hit me with a stick.
Please don't. :-)

For instructions on how to get it, go here:

   http://tt3.template-toolkit.org/download.html

For an quick(ish) overview of some of its shiny features, have a look
at the slides from the talk I gave at the London Perl Workshop a few
week back.

   http://tt3.template-toolkit.org/talks/tt3-lpw2009/slides/start.html

Please note that the slides were accurate (to the best of my knowledge)
when I wrote them but a few things have changed since then. Mostly good
changes - things that weren't working back then but are now.

There is *some* documentation:

   http://tt3.template-toolkit.org/docs/

However, be warned that it is (very) incomplete and likely to be incorrect
in places. So don't believe anything you read on the internet or in the
TT3 docs. But I'm working on it.

There are lots of tests. A few fail, but that's OK for now. They're
supposed to. They're a good place to start if you want to see what it
can do.

Comments, questions, suggestions, complaints, etc., are all welcome.
I'm about to head off for a few days over christmas and can't rely on net
connectivity. So don't be surprised if I go quiet until next week.

Have fun!

A
