Qbox Call For Art That Moves
Qbox is a non profit that promotes mechanical kinetic and electronic art--Art that Moves!
We seek artists for exhibition in a fab fab fundraiser, taking place July 23rd at Cell Space. The Flaming Lotus Girls and the Seemen are planning to head to Robodock in Amsterdam in September. We need to add your art to our art show!
If you have never exhibited with Qbox, if your fingers itch to create something exciting, anything that hoots, beeps, twingles or (gasp) has some sort of artistic expression and deep inner meaning is welcome to be a part of our show. Please submit yourself to our rigorous selection process by emailing Simone and putting up with her endless litany of slobbery gratitude and excitement. You will be free to have your art up for sale at our show, and join a pantheon of established kinetic artists, performers and the luscious flaming talents of the Lotus Girls and The Seemen.
But WAIT! There's MORE!
We at Qbox are so very convinced that participating in Robodock will be a seminal and universe-changing event for all involved that we would humbly extend the opportunity to YOU, the artist.
Any and all art that appears in the Qbox/FLG/Seemen fundraiser stands a very good chance of going with us to Robodock, pending approval of the artist and logistical concerns (taxes, fees, shipping, etc need to be gently defrayed, details available from Simone).
Our only requirement is that your art piece must: 1. Be Electronic, Mechanical, or Kinetic in some way. 2. Be no bigger than a breadbox 3. Be subject to a liberal jurying process
What have you to lose? Simply bring some small treasure of your own devising and watch as we send it away toward a life of libertinism and debauch!
And remember, as aforesaid, if your art is bigger than a breadbox or you don't give a teetotaling fig about The Netherlands, put your art in the show anyway.
