Bay Area SCORES Call for Performance and Video-Poem Mentor/Artists
Bay Area SCORES student-athlete-activist-poets are writing poetry
this fall!!!
Their poetry will be celebrated at the Herbst Theatre on December 2nd.
We are hoping to make it a dynamic night of live and pre-recorded
presentations that help the poets see and hear themselves in new and
interesting ways and help others see and hear their brilliance
loudly and clearly!
Artists and videographers who are willing to donate some 10-15 hours,
from early October through November can help make this goal a reality.
We have some budget to cover costs and small stipends.
Bay Area SCORES provides afterschool programming to 400 students in
San Francisco and Oakland.
Our students are ages 8 to 11. They work in teams of girls or boys.
When not writing poetry they are creating community service projects
and playing soccer!!!
