I accidentally updated this bug report to "RESOLVED" by mistake.
Bugster iterates to the *next* bug report whenever a bug report
is updated and saved, so I thought I was updating the previous
bug report. :-(
Reopening.
By the way, this bug report is low priority as it has low performance
impact and many fear reprogramming the I/O APIC on the fly due to
buggy I/O APICs.
