Alas, whichever resolution, whichever font size, from 100x100 dpi at 10.5, up to 400X400 dpi at 16, Times New Roman, any lowercase 'e' makes it to a lowercase 'c'. When I look at the tiff, no doubt, it is an 'e', except for Tesseract. Mine is 2.03 on Debian Testing. (There seems to be no way of attaching a file, otherwise I could have added one of the very obvious 'e' that are rendered to a 'c'.) Thanks for any help!
