Dear Banerjee, Sucessfully installed pyGTK in Ubuntu. run test as "GTK-demo" - did not displayed .Then run sudo apt-get install GTK 2-0.examples. Again I run GTK-demo now displayed gui "Application Main Window". So successfully installed. When I run Trainer_gui.py as well as _ini_.py nothing happens just like in WinXP. Where I made a mistake? Valuable guidance is solicited. Also requested sample tif of hindi and Bengali for Beta-testing and feedback to you. -sriranga(77yrsold)
