I am using Tesseract version 2.04 on Linux.

We are trying to scan printed text through a camera. From the camera
buffer I am copying to the LCD buffer as well to show to the user the
text being scanned. The LCD resolution is 320x240 with 16 BPP. Upon
user confirmation the LCD buffer data is to be converted to text.

As I understand the LCD buffer data is 2 bytes per pixel and is of RGB
format.
