totally desperate: bibtex question

Hi, i would like to add in my literature file the author and the editor
but i could not find any information how to do this ( although i ve got
the latex companion :O).

My Bibtex entry looks like this:

@book{grossklaus:1998,
author        ={Lamport, L.},
editor        ={Knuth, D.},
title         ={BibTeX 4 dummies},
publisher     ={Addison Wesley},
edition=      ={},
year          ={2001},
}

Could you please help me with it, it is quite urgent.
