At least for us who already have been on the page for some
time, it's too late to change. Also, I guess most spam software
is more smart about the "nospam" tricks than the average user
of the archive who might want to contact the author.
One important rule about spam is that you should never send
an answer, since that confirms that the email adress is
actively used. I heard they sometimes use "web bugs",
- including an image that's just a white pixel in the html
code, if the image is downloaded from their server, they know
the email adress was used.

You could get the adresses from the archive, there's no need to
subscribe.
