Hello

Thank you, Christian, for you hints!
The source is far from finished, but I stopped when
I saw the pdf-problems. Passing by dvi works fine.

The strange thing is, this does not happen with all mtx-sources.
Most of them get through properly.

I agree ....
I took the type 1 fonts from the Icking Archive when they were mentioned
last time on this mailing-list (when the musix13.pfb correction was
announced)
But I had to create the .map-file myself. Maybe something has gone
wrong there:
it had lines like
  musix11 default pfb/musix11.pfb
  ...
But this didn't work at all (instead of notes I had dots)
when I changed it into
  musix11 TeXMUSIX11 <pfb/musix11.pfb
  ...
it worked. Couldthis be the source of problems?

The puzzling thing are the shifted lines (vertical and horizontal)
and not the notes. But the lines do not come from fonts but are
generated by tex itself, aren't they?

I will try it!

I forgot to change it after having created the MIDI-file (where
I wanted the Tenor sound in the right octave

Yes, once it is ready. It is a very famous Welsh (= celtic language) song
