And then there is opera which will give an error if the trailing slash is *not* there for ftp access (and it will not put it there automatically). As I understood http://www.alistapart.com/stories/slashforward/ the slash is correct and should alwasy be put in links. Now why IE then gives an error is something else -- how about "broken browser"?
