I guess you mean Chlapik. The book seems to be available at
www.harri-deutsch.de by followiing the links "buchhandlung" and
"VLB", but not at www.amazon.de
Otherwise I think Music Notation by Gardner Read is pretty good.
BTW, does Chlapik has a good paragraph about horizontal
spacings ?
