Here's what I did:
* ran you test file (after inserting the missing
\begin{music} ... \end{music})
* made the .ps file dvips, and looked at it with Ghostview (4.3)
* made the .pdf file with Ghostview's convert utility
(I have never yet used another method; IMHO the dvips/gsview
method is safe, fast, and convenient).
The result:
(i) the .ps is perfect (as always),
(ii) the .pdf file is OK when viewed with Ghostview (it is not as
clear as the .ps version, especially when NOT enlarged),
(iii) when viewed with acrobat reader (5.0) , the slur (3rd bar)
is there, but the ties in the first 2 are invisible. This is
independent of the greeking setting, and is true both on the
screen and in print.
