You're right, and in your example it seems that barsant.tex was correctly
accessed. I'm rather puzzeled how your script could have gotten it right for
barsant.pmx but not for simplest.pmx

If you can compile FORTRAN, I strongly urge you to get the latest beta pmx
2.4.10. There have been many useful improvements since 2.3. You may need to
change two calls to getarg near the top of the FORTRAN source; search for
"getarg" and read the comments there.

As to distributing or posting your binary in the archive: A while back,
Olivier Vogel posted OS X binaries for PMX 2.410
http://icking-music-archive.sunsite.dk/software/pmx/PMX.pkg.sit

and M-Tx, not sure about which version since the web page says 0.52 but
Christian mentioned 0.54b
http://icking-music-archive.sunsite.dk/software/mtx/M-Tx.pkg.sit

I requested some confirmation that these were usable, and so far all I have
heard is from Steven Brenton who failed at installing PMX. Since this is
the more up-to-date version we should wait a bit and see if Olivier, Steven,
and any other macophiles can figure out why his PMX binary wouldn't work for
Steven. Also, has anyone successfully installed the M-Tx binary?
