I suppose you are writing musixtex there you usr \sk or \hsk ... for an invisible rest for slur use \ibslur in stead of \islur (page 41 on my manual)
but if you use pmx you write r+0 in a voice and rb in the other voice slurs are shifted with ie s+6 ... s+6 i think if you are not using pmx, then you will learn pmx faster than trying to use the musixtex commands if you want to start with pmx (if not already) you always may send your (short) musixtex file, and i will try to make a pmx file of it Andre ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dr. Gerhard Eber" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Typesetting music with TeX" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, January 28, 2004 9:38 AM Subject: [Tex-music] rests in polyphonic music When I tried to write 2 voices into the same system I found the following 2 problems: 1) both voices have a rest at the same time. Is there a command for a non-spacing rest? 2) When the stems for the upper voice go up and stems for the lower voice go down, slurs must be above the stems of the upper voice and below the stems of the lower voice and not at the position of the note heads. Is there a possibility to adjust the slurs correctly? I assume that there is a solution, but I couldn't find anything in the Musixtex manual. -- Thanks to all who may help. _____________________________________________________________ Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] D-76287 Rheinstetten _____________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________ Tex-music mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://icking-music-archive.org/mailman/listinfo/tex-music _______________________________________________ Tex-music mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://icking-music-archive.org/mailman/listinfo/tex-music
