It is dangerous to have dialects of musixtex around. Nevertheless, the patch as such (the one that came through) might be something useful for the software site. Even better would be to define default parameters affecting the layout by macros which can be easily redefined by a `style file'. That should also apply to the font selection which is still a little awkward. This would be something on my wish list for musixtex.
