i'm also in the frame for this sort of information -- the ctan catalogue is sorely lacking music software info. obviously, i have to record daniel as the "author" of musi[cx]tex (marked "inactive" :-( ), but while i see occasional patches going past, i'm not aware of anyone actually "maintaining" the software.
What about sourceforge and similar services?
