Could you provide a small example? "inside braces" means
inside stand-alone braces, not argument braces as in
\qa{j'j}. The proposed changes won't affect use *within*
stand-alone braces, but return to \normaltranspose at the
closing brace would no longer be automatic.
As Don points out, without the changes, the use of ` and
' with tremolo commands will also be automatically undone
because, since musixtex 1.19, tremolos have been inside
hboxes. It seems nobody had noticed this.
