Hi all,
I'm using( what I /think/ is) a fairly up-to-date TeX distribution that
includes pmxab and scor2prt. I think I observe a pattern where scor2prt
crashes on the second part when it reads "irregular" time signatures.
Take an existing score I completed some months ago. I previously
successfully created parts from it via scor2prt, but as of today, it
crashes around the point where the second part should be seeing a meter
change from 4/4 into 5/4:
[j39m@flaglock6 ~/Downloads/tmp]
$ scor2prt klaus.pmx
This is scor2prt for PMX 2.74, 19 February 2016
Inserting rm, iv,nmbr: 2 7
startio: error in format
apparent state: unit 6 (unnamed)
26H/64 will not be recognized)on ,i3,
lately writing sequential formatted external IO
Aborted (core dumped)
# You can see that `scor2prt` handled a previous meter change
# from 3/4 to 4/4 just fine. It chokes right when trying to reach
# 5/4, though, and the part ends there.
[j39m@flaglock6 ~/Downloads/tmp]
$ tail -n5 klaus2.pmx
% Rondo fragment 3
m4444
g24 b43 cf | /
% Bar 11
% Rondo fragment 4
[j39m@flaglock6 ~/Downloads/tmp]
$ grep -A3 "Bar 11" klaus.pmx
% Bar 11
% Rondo fragment 4
m5454 (4 e01 )1 (5 zb+ )2 (6 ze )3
(1 e41 )4 (2 zb+ )5 (3 ze )6 | /
I know "irregular" is a fuzzy term that doesn't mean anything useful to
PMX, but it's only curious because I'm seeing similar behavior in a
separate score (scor2prt crashes while writing out the second part right
on a meter change from 6/8 to 9/8).
Am I doing something wrong here? Can anybody suggest a remedy or a
workaround?
Thanks —
Kalvin
