Isn't "paragraph" a LaTeX environment that is "sectional" in nature, roughly subsubsubsection -- not to be confused with \par (which is commonly invoked with a blank line -- and isn't its use usually deprecated? (I don't have my books handy now.) Does Eitan's code treat it explicitly?
