Follow-up Comment #3, bug #429 (project tex4ht):
I'm aware that TeX related programs are not very good in deleting intermediate
files. However in this case we speak about htlatex, some kind of wrapper
script. I would expect that this script cares about intermediate files, which
are not needed any more.
Note that we speak about the files, which were created by tex4ht & t4ht i.e.
the files generated by the post-processor.
Feel free to lower that bug to wish list and introduce a clear switch if you
think it is not a good idea to delete all intermediate files by default.
