Post script: Steve Webb and I took our Sea Eagle 330 two-person inflatable kayaks into the cave and succeeded in making it to the "T" intersection, 1,800 feet from the entrance. The ceiling was almost too low to make it through in a couple of spots, but by ducking down and rocking the boat we made it.
It is also navigable to the left at the "T" for about 500 feet, so a roundtrip is possible in an inflatable kayak (a rigid one cannot be passed through the entrance gate) of over 4,000 feet.
