This article is timely in the sense that the Texas Speleological Society is
having its Spring Convention at Cave Without a Name this weekend. Stories of
exploration, discovery, and science will reverberate through the cave at this
event with the same resonance as the music reviewed here. See you there!

Friends/ Caver Family -

Bob has his surgery tomorrow. It will be more extensive than Bob hoped for (he
was thinking a band-aid and a tylenol) but he is in great spirits and looking
forward to getting past the recovery. It'll be a long day for MaryAnn and the
Girls while they wait. I'll be at the hospital after work tomorrow and let
y'all know how he is doing.

Happy Thoughts for Bob and his Gals!

Bob is good. I just left him at the hospital where he will be until probably
Friday. He did not have the surgery today - they found some more cancer in his
stomach and they will do another round of chemo soon to shrink those tumors.
Keep the happy thoughts coming.

NaturFest Association is tentatively planning an informal weekend beach
trip to Quintana Beach Park, south of Freeport, Texas. The date is some
weekend in May. This will be our 2nd time to do this there, and we had a
blast the first time.

In other news,

NaturFest Association now has an official mailing address:

P.O. Box 143
Burton, TX. 77835

And,

We now have a business membership to Sam's Club, for buying supplies.

Today, we mailed our first official donation to Camp Happy Hollow, a
whopping $ 5. But the long-term goal is to be a regular contributor, as
long as they continue to let us hold NaturFest at the campground.

NaturFest Association is a virtual group on the internet that is presently
FREE to join. If you are not on Google+, or Facebook. then send me an
email, and I will jot your name down. Anyone who has attended NaturFest,
or donated money in the past is already a member. Cavers who are members
of a caving organization are automatically qualified to join. Non-cavers
are welcome, but will be screened.

We do not yet have parliamentary procedures, or a constitution, or
officers, but we do have some ambitious enthusiasm, that comes in spurts,
at the spur of the moment.

David Locklear
President of NaturFest Association

Those of you who remember Tom Meador, he would have been 70 today.

Those of you who did not know him, you missed a special friend.
