Meeting notes February 14th 2012 The February meeting of the PBSS opened at 1901 with Matthew, Alex, Bill, Walter, Kel, Tony, and Jacqui.
We have money. We had a report on the Blue Quail Cave dig and discussed what we saw, what the camera-on-a-stick saw, where we might go and how to remove the cholla cactus spines that seem to be everywhere. What is going on there warrants one more trip. We discussed other caves in that area and whether or not we can get access to them when we get back up that way. R.D. Milhollin contacted Matthew about meeting with PBSS and discussing NSS issues and his run for Director. We discussed the layout and technicalities of 0-9 Well and when we might be able to go there. We can perhaps help David Ochel with a survey. It is also possible that we can meet with R.D. at 0-9 Well and save him some distance. We finalized some details for the Lincoln National Forest trip on the 25th of February—we will be able to visit both Pink Panther (LNF) and Deep (the Park). The group is small so we plan to camp Friday night at Texas Camp, visit both caves on Saturday, and head out Saturday evening. After some discussion of potential trips and connections, the meeting was closed at 1955. Jacqui Thomas, Secretary
